Civil War Veteran 31 WI Infantry Co. I Columbus (Nebraska) Journal Wednesday, February 6, 1907 Frank Fleming, an old soldier, died Tuesday at his home in the southeast part of the city from heart trouble. The deceased was born in Austro-Hungary in 1830 and came to this country before the civil war, when he enlisted in Company I, Thirty-first Wisconsin Infantry. He came to Columbus sixteen years ago and has since made this his home. Besides his wife he leaves twelve children. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon from the home, Rev.
