Edward Joseph Fleming (September 17, 1872 - September 4, 1944) The Lusk Herald September 7, 1944 Edward Fleming, 72, Passes Monday Edward Fleming, 72, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, at 12:30 p.m. at his home in the west part of town, where he lived with his daughter, Mrs. Edna Washburn. Mr. Fleming was born September 17, 1872, and had been in declining health for some time. Coming to Wyoming with his family in 1914, he homesteaded in the Jay Em community. Besides his daughter he is survived by two sons, Elmer of Lusk and Eddie of Calispell, Mont.; two sisters, one of whom is Mrs. Joseph Vondra of Casper, the other resides in Nebraska. Three brothers also survive. Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and burial will be made in the Lusk cemetery. _______________________________________________________________________ "This information is from Niobrara County Library, www.niobraracountylibrary.org"
