Bio

The family bible has his name written as Loney Burten Leonard though called Lon or Lonny. His parents were David Francis "Davey" & Frances Catherine (ROGERS) LEONARD. Lon Burton married Martha Rosa "Rosey" Pinkard June 28, 1923. I am still searching as Pinkard may have been the name of her first husband and not her married name, also checking with descendants. Lon is shown in the 1910 Census for Dent, Pottawatomie County as head of household (his name is spelled Lonny B. Leonard), wife Martha R. (Believe this to be Martha Rosa "Rosey", daughter Cara (this is Cora), Martila (?), stepdaughter Maggie Pinkard. In the 1920 census for Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co., he is listed as Lonie Leonard, wife, Rosie, daughter Cora, son Allen F. and son Homer L. 2nd marriage to Nancy "Bill" Franklin.
