The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 01 Sep 1977, Thu Page 20 Services Held For Frank Kavan Funeral services for Frank Kavan, 70, were held Wednesday morning, Aug. 24, at the Kucera Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Hovic officiated. Mr. Kavan, a retired farmer, died Saturday at Saunders County Community Hospital after a short illness. He was born Dec. 17, 1906, near Morse Bluff and was a lifetime resident of this area. He married the former Clara Haba on Aug. 15, 1927, in David City. She died in 1963. Survivors include two daughters, Miss LaVida Kavan of North Bend and Mrs. Victor (LaVae) Svitek of Clarkson; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Sichmeier of Mount View, Mo., Mrs. George (Emma) Simanek of Wahoo, Mrs. William (Anna) Simanek of Schuyler, and Mrs. R. W. (Evelyn) Frigge of Effingham, Kans. Burial was in the Prague National Cemetery. Prague-Services for Frank Kavan, 70, will be at Kucera Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Hovis will officiate. (Evelyn) Frigge of Effingham, KS. Pallbearers are Leonard, Eugene and Edward Simanek, Frank Wesely, Melvin Kavan and Raymond Stranik. Burial will be in Prague National Cemetery. Kucera Funeral Home of Prague in charge of arrangements.
