(02/08/2021) THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 26, 2003: “Delbert R. Bounds, 73, of Paris, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went to be with his Lord on Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Reger and the Rev. Jack Elliott officiating. Masonic graveside rites will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Broken Bow, Okla., a son of Henry Edgar and Mary Brewer Bounds. He was a graduate of Broken Bow schools and president of Blossom Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Blossom Masonic Lodge and was an avid outdoorsman. He married the former Mary Eatherly on Sept. 24, 1961, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Lisa Meadors; two sisters, Marie Cox and Mary Lou Allen; and three brothers, Minor Bounds, Henry Bounds Jr. and Barker Bounds. Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Bounds and wife, Trish, and Jason Bounds and wife, Sonya, all of Blossom; five daughters, Debbie Hooton and husband, Jack, of Seattle, Wash., Elizabeth Spratt and husband, Ronnie, of Irving, Ann Jones and husband, Mark, of Deport, Susan Campbell and husband, Jeff, of Paris and Caryl Morris of Longview; 14 grandchildren, Justin Bounds, Angie Bounds, Tabitha Brown, Derek Atnip, Blake Hooton, Kim Kamla, Lydia Booth, Leslie Lindsey, Mandy Spratt, Kathy Spratt, Eric Campbell, Michael Fulford, Misty Smith and Cory Wilburn; seven great-grandchildren, Jared Meadors, Hailey Shultz, Trace Smith, April Styles, Olivia Styles, Catetlyn Wilburn and Heather Wilburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
