Margie Lois (Bounds) Sorrels, 82, of Broken Bow, passed away April 17, 2011 in Oklahoma City. She was born February 6, 1929 at Broken Bow, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Brewer) Bounds. A homemaker, Margie had lived in McCurtain County most of her life and was a 1947 graduate of Broken Bow High School. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and antiques. She and William Sorrels were united in marriage on December 13, 1947 in DeQueen, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Nathaniel E. and wife Georgia (Johnson) Sorrels and Willie R. and wife Cindy (Joiner) Sorrels all of Broken Bow and Larry D. and wife Darlene (Mitchell) Sorrels of Hudson, Ohio; daughters, Brenda L. Beck and husband Bill of Cushing, Texas and Beth L. Parke and husband Brian of Colorado Springs, CO. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2pm at the Bunch-Singleton Chapel with Pastor Steve Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery.
