Bio
Born to Charles Wallace Quin (1850-1918) & Jane Victoria Kaigler (1852-1939). Julia married Robert George William Girling I (1877-1937) on Sept. 27, 1899 in Pike County. Robert's pet name for Julia was Judy. Five children: • Robert George William Girling II (1900-1955) • Dewitt Quin Girling (1903-1918) • Alfred Luther Girling (1905-1925) • Julia Victoria Girling Blount (1906-1980) • Louise Janie Girling Felder (1914-1974) Julia Quin Girling died of appendicitis at age 48. ******************************** From unknown newspaper: Girling - Quin -- at the residence of the bride's parents in Holmesville on Wed., Sept. 27, 1899, by Rev. B.H. Rawls assisted by Rev. H.H. Messenger, Miss Julia D. Quin to Mr. Robert G.W. Girling, both of Holmesville. Attendants -- Miss Hattie Girling and Mr. Alva Beall. After the ceremony, a sumptuous banquet was enjoyed, to which the invited guests did ample justice. The young couple then repaired to the gallant groom's elegant home, where they will in future reside and where, we hope, joy and happiness unconfined will ever hold full sway.
