HOWARD HOSKINS "Butch" Hoskins, age 54, a longtime employee of the Mahauser Service Station in Ord, died February 24, at his home in Ord. "Butch," whose given name was Howard Edward (sic), was a native of Guide Rock and came to Ord 17 years ago. He had been employed by Emil Mathauser the past 16 years. He was born February 17, 1915, the son of Arthur and Tillie Weigel Kiehl. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs Joe Schamp of Amherst, and Mrs Ethel Riebshlager of Hazard, and one half-brother, Arthur Loper, of Payette. He is also survived by 12 nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 28, at the Ord Memorial Chapel with the Rev Robert Hopkins officiating. Mrs Shirley Karr was the organist. Interment was at Guide Rock Monday afternoon.---Ord, Nebraska -------------------------------------- He was born a Kiehl but after his mom's 3rd marriage he took the name Hoskins. He was originally buried a Hoskins and then his 2 half sisters put the stone up and made it Kiehl. We don't know where the name Edmund came from, doing more checking on that.
