(Jewell County Record-Thursday, October 30, 1975-Page 8, Section 2) KIEHL OBITUARY Art Kiehl, age 89, died Saturday, October 18, 1975, at the Jewell County Hospital. He had been in the long-term division for approximately seven years. Art was born December 16, 1885, to Charles and Hanna Kiehl at the homestead north of Burr Oak. He was one of 12, children all who have preceded him in death. His former wife died in 1968 and their only son died in 1972. Art was a farmer, having worked the family farm for many years. He was a lover of all animals, especially horses and kept a team after leaving the farm. He lived in Burr Oak until failing health forced him to move to a care home.
