Rites Read For Mrs. Lou Martin Here Friday Funeral rites for Mrs. Lou Jones Martin, 71, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin, a resident of Crosbyton for the past 50 years, died about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, in the Crosbyton hospital. Officiating at the services were the Rev. Everett Ward, pastor of the Harwell Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock, and the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor of the Crosbyton Church. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home. Mrs. Martin was a native of Hill County. She is survived by her husband, Van Martin of Lockney; a son, Fred Zinn of Houston; three step-daughters, Mrs. Cecil White of Lubbock, Mrs.Jack Johnson of Floydada and Mrs. R. A. Baird of Silverton; three step-sons, Ferris W. Martin and Jerrel Martin, both of Clarendon, and Donnie Martin of Silverton; her mother, Mrs. J. P. Wallace of Artesia, N.M.; six sisters, Mrs. Loretta Howard of Fort Sumner, N.M., Mrs. Oscar Payne of Lubbock, Mrs. Fay Blunt of Oracle, Ariz., and Mrs. Clara Hamby, Mrs. Hugh Barren and Mrs. Wince Bean, all of Artesia, NM; four brothers, Walter Wallace, C.D.
