Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 3, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Rachel Barron,Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Barron, 88, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Barron was born September 28, 1913 in Hill County, Texas; the daughter of Jackson Philander Wallace and Sarah Ollie Myers Wallace. She came to Artesia in 1942 from Clovis, N.M. On November 18, 1947 she was married to Hugh W. Barron in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death March 6, 1996. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers; five sisters; a daughter—in—law Nancy Barron; and a grandson David Carlile. Survivors include a son Ronald F. Barron and wife Mary Lea of Artesia; a daughter Karla R. Molyneaux and husband Mike of Artesia; a brother Quincy Wallace of Artesia; a sister Monet Bean of Artesia; grandchildren Suzanne Barron of Artesia, Quentin Barron of Carlsbad, Johnny Crouch of Lubbock, Texas and Vicki Spence of Artesia; and great—grandchildren Justin Troublefield and Lindsey Spence of Artesia and Dallas Crouch, Delany Crouch and Jacey Crouch of Lubbock.
