Bio

Rudolph R. "Rudy" Urban, 66, of Omaha died Friday, July 9, 2010, at Nebraska Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Omaha. Rudy was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Loup City to Rudolph and Pauline Urban of Arcadia. He married Sharon Clarks of Omaha. Survivors are daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Brian Cropper of Colorado; sisters and brothers, Rose and Marvin Sorensen of Grand Island, Ray and Sandy Urban of Lexington, Bob and Gena of Cozad, Arnold of Leander, Texas, Joyce of Omaha, Louis of Lincoln, James and Celia of Grand Island and Nancy of Ord; grandson, Justin, as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He graduated from the Nebraska School for the Deaf in 1964. Rudy's parents preceded him in death. Rudy enjoyed Nebraska football, reading the Omaha World-Herald and food; especially fried chicken and beer. He had a special relationship with and enjoyed many visits from his nephew, Brian Urban of Omaha.
