Bio

Fairfield resident Oscar Andrew Timmerman, 78, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, in Fairfield. Services were held Saturday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home chapel in Hastings with the Rev. Terry Jorgensen officiating. ***** Mr. Timmerman was born March 31, 1927, to John J. and Sarah (Clark) Timmerman in O'Neill. He attended school in O'Neill. He worked for Tri State Turkey Farm until 1950 when he moved to Hastings to work at the Naval Ammunition Depot. On Oct. 23, 1954, he married Sarah Shields. From 1954-63, he worked construction and then worked for Western Land Roller, retiring in 1983. He and his wife later moved to Fairfield. Survivors are his wife; one son, Michael of Alma; one daughter, Deborah Timmerman of Fairfield; one brother, Bennie of Hastings; one grandchild; one stepgrandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
