Son of Benjamin C. Collier and Margaret Lane. He was first married on 6-7-1829, in Early Co., GA to Nancy Ann Perry, who was born 8-16-1810, in Laurens Co.,GA and died 12-71847 in Early Co., GA. Nancy was the daughter of Ambrose H. Perry. After Nancy died, Jesse was remarried in 1848 to Louisa C.(Wade) Morris, born 12-7-1813/died 12-6-1884. Children(by Nancy): Joseph Green Collier; Zacariah Cowart "Zack" Collier; John "Williamson" Collier; Elizabeth Collier; Ambrose Harper Collier; Benjamin Collier; Margaret Ann Collier; Sarah Frances Collier.
