Mary Elizabeth "Polly" COLLIER - FREEMAN - CASWELL; Born 25 August 1805 in Charlotte County, Virginia, USA; Died after 13 June 1880 in Beech Creek Community, (Spurger), Tyler County, Texas, USA. 1st Married (father of FREEMAN CHILDREN,3 daughters and 5 sons), James Delaware FREEMAN, { born 25 November 1802 near Crawford, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, USA; died 29 August 1844 in Blakely, Early County, Georgia, USA }. Married on 16th day of September 1824 in Blakely, Early County, Georgia, USA. Polly FREEMAN, (widowed with young children) married a second time to (widower) William L. CASWELL, who was born About 1782 in North Carolina, USA; married their 2nd time Abt. 1846 or '48 in Blakely, Early County, Georgia, USA. The large ( 12 ) wagon train left Early County, Georgia in October of 1852 and came through to Town Bluff area, Tyler County, Texas, USA in March of 1853 with 9 families. When Beech Creek Baptist Church, ( Tyler County, Texas ), was inaugurated in 1855, Mary "Polly" ( FREEMAN ) CASWELL was listed as an "founding member" on the minutes of the meeting. On the 1860, 12th July, US Federal Census, Texas, Tyler County, Woodville P.O., Mary FREEMAN is a Widow with her son, E. ( Eli Warren) in her home. She is also "widow" on 1870 and 1880 Texas, Tyler County Census records. P.S.; I was told Volumnia ( FREEMAN ) DICKEY's Family had Polly FREEMAN's Family Bible.
