Bio
She was the wife of William R. Hooks and the daughter of Benjamin Collier,Sr. and Margaret (Lane) Collier. She married William Hooks on 07-04-1839 in Early County, GA. They came to Texas in 1849, along with her sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Ann Collier and Allen Moore Hooks (William's brother). Children: Wm. Columbus "Lum" Hooks (died 05-17-1862 in the Civil War); James Darius "Day" Hooks; Lucinia Abigail "Sine" Hooks; Alexander Buchanan "Buck" Hooks; Thomas Jackson "Tom" Hooks; Martha Ann Sarah "Jane" Hooks; Amanda Luvenia "ManceMandy" Hooks; Theodorah Eldoria "Dora" Hooks; Joseph Lamar "Sam" Hook,Sr.; George Washington Hooks; Jesse Benjamin "Ben" Hooks,Sr. Henry Allen "Bud" Hooks.
