Bio

DIED--at his home at Grafton, January 31, 1889, of diabetes, Benjamin McCashland, aged 77 years. The funeral services ere held Saturday and the remains were interred in the Fairmont cemetery. The deceased was one of the pioneers of the county and bore a character void of reproach. He had no enemies and many friends. He leaves behind the partner of his life, who has also passed her three score years and ten, to follow the loved one gone before. He was firm in the Christian faith and met his earthly dissolution with cheerfulness to enter into the joys of his Father.
