Listed in "DEATHS OF A YEAR" Grand Island Independent, Tuesday, January 22, 1901, page 2 Oct. 3, N. W. McCashland, 76 years, heart disease, dropsy. ================= Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Thursday, October 4, 1900 N. W. McCashland, an aged citizen of the north side, who has been an invalid for some time, died last night. Dropsy and a heart trouble were the cause of death. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, and a daughter and a son, who have the sympathy of many friends. Announcement of the funeral will be made tomorrow. ============ Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Friday, 5 October 1900, page 3 Mr. N. W. McCashland's funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock form the residence 923 West Elm street.
