Provo Daily Herald - Sunday, February 17, 1974, Provo, Utah Glen R. Whitby HANKSVILLE - Glen Rowe Whitby, 59, of Hanksville, died Sunday at his home of an apparent heart attack. He is the brother of several Utah County people. He was born Jan. 9, 1915 in Alpine, the son of Thomas Alvin and Cora Moyle Whitby. He married Darla Mecham on March 7, 1949 in Provo. The marriage was solemnized later in the Manti LDS Temple. He was an employee of the Utah State Road Department and a rancher. He also served as a ward clerk in the Hanksville LDS Ward for many years. Survivors include his widow, two sons and a daughter, Mrs. Stan (Linda) Call, Salt Lake City; Rowe Dell Whitby, Hanksville, and Scott Whitby, Gallup, N.M.; four brothers and four sisters, Roy A. Whitby,Bellflower, Calif.; Ivan E. Whitby, Anderson, Calif.; Ray L. Whitby, Alpine; Dr. G. L. Whitby, Payson; Mrs. Oral (Helen) McGregor, Huntington Park, Calif.; Mrs. Paul (Alice) Carlisle, Alpine; Mrs. Robert (May) Morgan, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Jensen, American Fork. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hanksville LDS Ward. Friends may call at the ward house from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial will be in Hanksville Cemetery
