Bio

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rachel Myers Stewart, passed away October 17, 2008 at the age of 88. She was born March 29, 1920 in Minersville, Utah to Ralph & Ethel Bradfield Myers. She married the love of her life, Cecil Thomas Stewart on September 24, 1938. Mom worked as a waitress at the Hong Kong Cafefor many years. To know her was to love her. She had a quick wit that always had everyone wondering what she might say next. She loved when her nieces and nephews would stop in for a visit. There was always a bed and a meal waiting for anyone who dropped by. Mom loved her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Patsy (Leslie) Barton of Las Vegas, NV., Vicki (Ronnie) Turner of Las Vegas, NV., Madlyne (George) Griffiths of Milford, Betty Jo (Steve) Hoagland of Circleville, Cecilia (Wayne) Lounsbury of Port Ludlow, WA, one brother, Kenneth (Sara) Myers of Milford. She has 15 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, brothers Eugene, George, Ernest, Orrin, Oswald & Vendon and sisters, LaRue Thompson, Claudia Peterson, Velva Waters & Verda Mae Myers; grandchildren, Ray Barton, Christine Rollo & Allen Barton; great grandchildren, Tara Ann & Terri Lynn Finch; great-great grandson, Justin Russell Finch. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:00PM at the Milford LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Family & friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 20 from 11:00AM to 12:30PM at the Church. Interment will be in the Milford City cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
