From The Daily Spectrum (St. George, UT) - Thursday, January 9, 2003: ST. GEORGE - Claudia Myers Petersen died January 6, 2003 at the home of her daughter at age 78. She lived the past seven years with Debra and was so lovingly cared for. She was born February 22, 1924, the 9th of 12 children of Ralph B. and Ethel Bradfield Myers in Minersville, Utah. She married Ralph Raymond Petersen on February 8, 1941 in Ely, Nevada. He proceeded her in death March 29, 1997. Claudia lived most of her adult life in Las Vegas, Nevada where her husband was FAA Air Traffic Control Chief. She was a wonderful homemaker and took such loving care of her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and playing Bingo at the Showboat. She made lovely gifts with her crochet work and quilting. She is survived by her children, Clark (Linda) Petersen, Jack (Cathy) Petersen, Gary (Kathie) Petersen, Debra (Tim) Lewis, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Myers, Milford, Utah, sisters, Rachel Stewart, Milford, Utah, and Velva Waters, Las Vegas, Nevada. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Eugene, Ernest, Vendon, George, and Oswald, sisters, LaRue Thompson and Verda Mae Myers. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, 6200 South Eastern, Las Vegas, Nevada at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2003.
