Bio

Daughter of Henry and Frances (Hajek) Munster. Grew up in the area and attended District 109 Prairie Bell School. Married: Sept. 27, 1926, to Fred Unick in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He died in 1999. With husband farmed northwest of Pleasanton for 46 years; moved to Pleasanton, 1972; celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary together before his death in 1999. Was a homemaker and enjoyed many happy hours in her kitchen baking pies and kolaches; also enjoyed taking leisurely Sunday drives to look at the countryside. Survivors include her sons, Bob and Kenneth, both of Pleasanton; daughter, Bertha of Pleasanton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandsons; also daughters-in-law, JoAnne Unick and Willa Vee Unick, both of Pleasanton; brother-in-law, James Unick of Kearney; sister-in-law, Rosanne Rightmire of Casper, Wyo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Beulah Unick in 2001; one daughter in infancy; one great-grandson; one great-great-grandson; three brothers; and four sisters.
