Frances Hajek, daughter of Peter and Veronika Blahovican Hajek, was born in Beroun, Central Bohemia on 27 October 1871. Her siblings born in Central Bohemia were: Joseph in 1863; Peter II 9 March 1865; Anna Hajek Schmaljohn 4 May 1875; and Antone 21 April 1879. Her family came to America from the port of Hamburg aboard the Augusta Victoria and arrived in New York on 23 May 1891. They were bound for Chelsea, Tama County, Iowa where her brother, Peter II was living. By September 1891, the family was living near Rockville, Sherman County. Frances "Fannie"and Henry Munster were married 16 January 1894 at Loup City in Sherman County. They farmed three miles northeast of Pleasanton and moved to Pleasanton when they retired. Mrs. Munster died at her home in Pleasanton Sunday evening after a long illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Bertha (Fred) Unick and Mrs. Fannie (William) Krotz, Pleasanton; Mrs. Helen (Ben) Unick Litchfield; Mrs. Anna Krichau, Big Springs. One daughter, Mrs. Matilda (William) Lammers preceded her in death in 1945. Three sons, Phillip Munster, Sweetwater; Charles and Henry Jr., Pleasanton and 27 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two grandsons were killed in the armed service.
