Houston County Courier-Thursday, May ,2005 Mr. William E. "Bill" LaRue, age 79 of Austonio, passed away Monday, May 2, 2005 in the East TX Medical Center-Crockett. Mr. LaRue was born March 9, 1926 in Austonio and had lived in Austonio most of his lifetime. Mr. LaRue was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. Mr. LaRue was retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron where he worked as a steel worker and was a rancher in Austonio, and he was a member of the Austonio Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Kathryn LaRue, of Austonio; children William Erwin LaRue, Jr. and wife Connie, Raymond LaRue and wife Judy, all of Austonio; step-children Juanita Denman and husband Denny Jack, of Clear Lake, Bobby LaRue and wife Judi of Devers and Dale Dodson and wife Debbie, of Kennard; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister Annie Le Scoggins, of Silver City, N. M.; brothers Virgil LaRue, of Pearson Chapel, Carl LaRue and T. W. LaRue, both of Austonio; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie Christine LaRue; parents Thomas Wilson and Aley Cheairs LaRue; brothers John Babe LaRue and Jay LaRue; and step-son Bobby Dodson. Funeral Services for Mr. William E. "Bill" LaRue were held Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rex Harrell officiating. Interment followed in Boggs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Dr., Lufkin, TX. 75904.Callaway-Allee Funeral Home
