Bio

Thanks to Carolyn Brinkmeyer for the following information: Herald Coaster, July 3, 1958: Final rites were held Saturday afternoon from the Czech Moravian Brethren Church, Rosenberg, for Emil Schiller, 70. Rev. Gordon Hejl officiated. Mr. Schiller was born in 1888 in Wallis. He married Miss Rose Buscanyi in Wallis and they made their home there and were engaged in farming. In 1922, they moved to Rosenberg where he resided until 1957 when he moved to Houston with his daughter and son. He passed away in a Houston hospital following a short illness. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Stasey of Houston; three sons, Adolph of Houston, and Charlie and Simon of Rosenberg; nine grandchildren; one brother, John, of Wallis; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Bravenec of Bellville and Mrs. John Svec of Crosby. Pallbearers were Raymond Svec, Bill Schiller, Jimmie Sliva, Bohumil Schiller, Fred Meyer, and A.C. Muehr. Interment was held in the Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
