Herald Coaster, April 17, 1995: Funeral services for Simon J. Schiller, 85, of Rosenberg will be held Tuesday, April 18, 1995 at 10 .m. at Rosenberg Brethren Church in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Dr. Glen E. Eckols will officiate the service. Mr. Schiller was born Feb. 17, 1910 in Austin County, Texas. He passed away April 15, 1995 in Missouri City, Texas. He was a member of Rosenberg Brethren Church. He served in the Army during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Rosie Schiller, and brother, Charlie Schiller. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Schiller of Rosenberg; a daughter, Linda Carol Reeh, and husband, Ernst W. of Needville; a son, Maurice Lee Schiller and wife, Gloria of Arlington; sister, Mary Stacey of Houston; brother, Adolph Schiller of Spring. Also by grandchildren, Scott and Julie Reeh of Needville, John Schiller of Arlington, and Wendell Bunch of South Dakota; and a great-grandchild, Austin Bradley Reeh of Needville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosenberg Brethren Church Building Fund. Pallbearers are Raymond Macik, Leroy Parthum, Julius Luksa, Wayne Schiller, Ben Berry and Charles Schiller. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, April 17 at the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 & Highway 59) Rosenberg. 713-341-8800.
