Bio
Eldon Frank Lukesh, 98, of Ord died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Valley County Health System Hospital. Eldon was born April 18, 1912, on the family farm northeast of Ord to John and Antonia (Penas) Lukesh. Survivors are; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Carol Lukesh of Ord; and daughters and son-in-law, Eleanor and Joe Kliment of Brainard, and Bonnie Lukesh of Omaha; grandsons, Lannie Lukesh and his finance, Sara McDonnell, and Bob Lukesh and his wife, Charlene. Eldon received his education at a country school in Valley County. On June 1, 1933, Eldon was united in marriage to Elma Klanecky at Sargent. He farmed near Sargent most of his life. In 1975, he retired and the couple moved to Burwell, where he worked for a carpenter. Mrs. Lukesh passed away in 1982 and Eldon moved to Ord after her passing. On Sept. 4, 1984, Eldon married Sara Arnold and the couple lived in Ord. Sara passed away in 2002. Eldon remained in his home until 2005, when he moved to Grandview Assisted Living Center. For the past two years he has made his home at the Valley View Living Center. He was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing the accordion. In addition to his wives, Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Phyllis Cernek and Minnie Gizinski; and brothers, Albert, Joe, Edward, Bill and Emil.
