Lukesh Funeral Sunday Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Ord Methodist church for Edward V. Lukesh, 52, who died Dec. 12, in Port Townsend, Wash. Rev. Keith Shepherd officiated, the musicians being Mrs. Lucile Tolen and Mrs. Viola Kellison. Concluding services were held in the Ord Bohemian cemetery, with the Hastings_Pearson mortuary in charge. Bearers were Frank William and Elmer Lukesh, Frank Cernik, Frank Piskorski and Elliot Clement. Mr. Lukesh was born in Ord, Dec. 23, 1903, the son of John and Antonia Lukesh. He worked in creameries and hardware stores before moving to Portland in 1943. There he worked in the shipyards as an electrician and welder. He moved to Port Townsend two years ago. In Port Townsend he was an employee of the Olympic Hardware and Furniture Co. During the past year his health began to fail. He was a member of the Port Townsend Salmon club, which sponsors the annual salmon derby. He was also a member of the Order of Eagles. Survivors besides his wife, Kathryn, include a son, Edwin Lukesh of Port Townsend; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Gizinski of Port Townsend and Mrs. Phyllis Cernik of North Loup. Five brothers: Joseph of Grand Island, Albert of Comstock and Eldon of Sargent, and William and Emil of Gresham, Ore., his mother Antonia Lukesh of Ord and two grandchildren, Ronald D. and Richard A. Lukesh of Port Townsend.
