► Obituary Amarillo Daily News, June 18, 1998 Reuben Raymond "R.R." Worthen, 87, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Allen Norris of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Rev. Calvin Powell of Grand Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Worthen was born in Delta County and was raised near Sulphur Springs. He moved to Childress in 1932 and married Lillian Ethel Terrell in 1938 at Hollis, Okla. He moved to Amarillo in 1942 from Childress. Mr. Worthen worked in the trucking industry for Riss & Co., Whitfield Tank Lines and Jack B. Kelley Co. After retiring from trucking, he and his wife owned and operated Ray's Antiques for 19 years. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 731. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
