Spouse: William W Baker (1916-1988) Wed 24 July 1947 The officers and members of SPJST Lodge 135, Volna Cechie, wish to express sincere sympathy to the family of Mildred Tupy Baker, of Ennis. Sister Baker passed away on June 30, 1999 at her home in Ennis. Funeral services were held July 2, 1999 in the Keever Chapel with the Reverent Johnny Mansell officiating. Interement was in the crisp Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary. Pallbearers were Larry Jones, Milan Dujka, Jr, George Tupy, John Roberts, Milton Tupy, Marshall Dujka, and Steve Dujka. Sister Baker was born February 14, 1916 in Crisp, the daughter of Wesley and Aloisie Bobalik Tupy. She was reared in Crisp and attended school there. On July 24, 1947, she was married to William W. Baker. After their marriage, they lived in Los Angeles, California. In 1961, they moved to Anaheim. She was the owner and operator of a beauty salon while in California. In 1991, they moved to Ennis. Mr. Baker preceded her in death March 3, 1998. She was a member of SPJST Lodge 135 in Ennis. Sister Baker is survived by a brother and his wife, Wesley and Vallie Tupy of Temple; six sisters, Alice Roberts of Dallas, Agnes Dujka of Waco; Anne Zvolanek of Dallas; Mary Sebestnik of Dallas; Georgia Tupy of Ennis; and Libbie Wisniewski of Ennis and a number of nieces and nephews.
