Libbie Tupy Wisniewski, 94, passed away in Plano, Texas, on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2015, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis. Libbie was born in Crisp, Texas, to the late Wesley and Aloise Bobalik Tupy. She went to school in Crisp, Texas, and was a member of SPJST Lodge #25, Ennis Women’s Sewing Circle and First Presbyterian Church of Ennis. She married Casimir Wisniewski on November 8, 1943, while he was stationed at Love Field. After the war they moved to South Bend, Indiana, where she worked 20 years at the Moderns Candy Factory while her husband worked at Singer Sewing Machine, Co. After retirement they built a home and moved to the family farm in Ennis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir Wisniewski; step-mother, Bessie Nedenicek Tupy; sisters: Mary Sibestik, Mildred Baker, Alice Roberts, Georgia Tupy, and Anne Zvolanek; and brother, Wesley Tupy. Survivors include her sister, Agnes Dujka; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
