DECATUR PAPER 4/1982 EDDIE SMITH Funeral services for Eddie E. Smith, 86, of Decatur are being held at 2:30 pm Today,Wednesday in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home in Decatur. Burial is in Graceland cemetery. He died at 3:30 am Sunday in the Veterans Administration hospital in Danville. Born in Moultrie county,he was a son of William H. and Sara Jane Monroe Smith. He was a letter carrier for more than 30 years, an army veteran of WWI and a member of Veterans of World War I, Post 341, the Nationals Association of Retired Federal Emplyees and the Genealogical society. He married Lucille Hoskins in 1923 and she survives. He is also survived by a son,Bill R. of Oreana and four grandchildren, One son, two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. The family suggests memorials to the Westminister Presbyterian church.
