Decatur Daily Review 9/10/1938 William Henry Smith, 76, of 522 E.Decatur street, died last night at Jacksonville after a long illness with heart trouble. He was born in Moultrie county,April 14,1862 and was married to Sarah Jane Monroe in Sullivan. During the last 15 years he was in the real estate business here. Besides his wife he leaves four children, Mrs.Lillie Traylor, Terri Haute,Ind, Logan Smith RR 4,Eddie E.Smith RR 7, and William Ansel Smith,Decatur. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs.Emma Burns,Stewardson and Mrs.Elizabeth Buck,Hazel Crest. Funeral services will be held in the Dawson & Wikoff chapel at 2 pm Sunday. Burial will be in the Dunn cemetery near Dunn, Ill.Friends may call at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home.
