Rose A. Cihacek funeral June 13 Rose Anne Cihacek, 81, died June 11, 1997 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services were held June 13 at 2 p.m. at the Svoboda Funeral Home, south chapel, Schuyler, with Father Ralph Lammers officiating. Visitation was on June 12 at 7:30 p.m., and at 10 a.m., June 13, at the Svoboda Funeral Home. Rosary was prayed before both visitations. Mrs. Cihacek was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Schuyler to Frank and Rose (Fendrich) Moravek. She graduated from Schuyler High School in 1934. She furthered her education at Wayne State College. She was employed by Jerry Severyn, Colfax County clerk, after she had finished her education. She married George R. Cihacek on Aug. 27, 1940. They made their home in Schuyler. SHe was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Guild, and was a member of the Rock, Gem and Mineral Society. She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. Richard) Rook, Lincoln; one son, Don, Estes Park, Colo.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
