Stephens, Ruby Jewel Ruby Jewel Keene is the daughter of Malcolm Dewey KEENE and Cora Belle DARNELL. She was married to: James Vernon Stephens on Ruby Jewel Stephens Arrangements By: Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham Jul 1, 2010 Ivanhoe, Texas -- Funeral services for Ruby Jewel Stephens, age 92, of Ivanhoe, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday July 3, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate the service with the assistance of Rev. Morris Robbins. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Stephens passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Ruby Jewel (Keene) Stephens was born on November 5, 1917 in Ivanhoe, TX to parents Malcom D. and Cora Bell Darnell Keene. She married James Vernon Stephens on August 21, 1935 in Durant, OK; he preceded her in death in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church, were she was secretary for years. She is survived by Sons: James D. Stephens and wife Charlene, William Henry Stephens and wife Diane, Kenneth E. Stephens and wife Patsy, and Harold R. Stephens and wife Evelyn. Daughters: Dorothy Lamb and husband Don, Wilma Jones and husband Don, and Mary Ann Fackler and husband Larry. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; Sister: Mary Lou Trusty, and sister-in-laws Ina Fay Stephens, Marie Reed, Kitty Stephens, and Doris Evans; brother-in-law Woodrow McCraw, and Great Aunt Ginnie Whitten. She is also preceded in death by her parents, sisters- Maudie Helvey, and Donzetta McCraw, brother-Oscar Keene, and 1 great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, and honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters. Family visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.
