Maudie Mae Keene was the daughter of Malcolm Dewey Keene, Son of Samuel Price Keene and Susan Victoris Haynes, and Cora Belle Darnell. She was married to: Robert Blake " Bob" HELVEY on May 31, 1943.The Bonham Daily Favorite Bonham, Texas Wednesday, 08 Jul 1992, Page 8/p Maudie Mae Helvey Funeral services are scheduled for Maudie Mae Helvey, age 68, who died Tuesday, July 7, 1992 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham, for 2 p.m. Friday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel in Bonham. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Patterson and Ronnie Ball. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Ivanhoe. Mrs. Helvey was born Oct. 5, 1923 in Ivanhoe, the daughter of Malcolm Keene and Cora Darnell Keene. She married Robert F. Helvey on May 31, 1943 in Bonham. Mrs. Helvey was retired from Fannin Manufacturing Company in Bonham. She was a member of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Helvey of the home; daughters, Jo Ann Mulder and Brenda Bowling, both of Bonham; son, Billy Helvey of Denison; three sisters, Donzetta McCraw of Ravenna, Ruby Stephens of Ivanhoe and Mary Trusty of Trenton; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Helvey's nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
