Dorothy Bernice Sladek was the daughter of William Arnold Sladek (1896-1956, Find A Grave 20642258) and his first wife, Alice Elizabeth Leonard. Alice, born in Colorado, was the daughter of Joseph Babcock Leonard (Find A Grave 123468021) and Edyth Anna Hurst Leonard (Find A Grave 97877914). William and Alice married 10 October 1920 in Glenwood Springs, Garfield County, Colorado. In the 1940 census, Dorothy "Sadek" (age 7, born Texas, father born Texas, mother born Colorado) lived with her divorced mother Alice Leonard [using her birth surname] and Alice's father Joseph B. Leonard and brother Warren Leonard in Monte Vista, Rio Grande County, Colorado. Dorothy married Edward Zielinski on 26 August 1943 in San Diego CA. Her obituaries were published in the "Arizona Republic" (Phoenix AZ) on Tuesday, 26 September 2000, page 16., and Wednesday, 27 September 2000, page 19. She was a resident of Chandler AZ at the time of her death.
