Bio

Victor Frederick BIBLE GROVE, Mo. — Victor Gene Frederick, 58, of Bible Grove, died Wednesday (March 19, 1997) in Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Born Feb. 10, 1939, in Kirksville, he was a son of E. D. and Elsie J. Smith Frederick. He married Janice Farris in October 1956. He married Carla J. Russell May 23, 1981, in Lancaster. She survives. Mr. Frederick attended school on Bible Grove and Downing and worked for many years for Kaser Corp. in Greensburg. He was a member of Bible Grove School board for many years and was a charter member of Bible Grove Historical Committee. Mr. Frederick was also a member of Greensburg Lodge 414 AF&AM, Greensburg Chapter 258 Order of the Eastern Star and Bible Grove Christian Church. Survivors also include two sons, David of Baring and Dan of Memphis; four daughters, Erin J., Holly J., Janie C. and Kayla J., of the home; five brothers, Roscoe, Dean, John, Jent and George; four sisters, Helen Dickerson, Mrs. Delbert (Betty) Wright, Ruby Wright and Mrs. Buck (Hazel) Unglesbee; six grandchildren, Mrs. Rex (Amy) Clark and Amber, Angela, D. J., Jake and Dakotah Frederick; a great-grandson, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent, a brother, Henry, and a sister, Sara Jane. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bible Grove Christian Church by the Rev. Tim Hawkins. Burial will be in Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday with family meeting friends after 6 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Masonic services by Greensburg Lodge 414 AF&AM will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be given to the children's educational fund.
