Elsie Jane Frederick BIBLE GROVE, Mo. — Elsie Jane Frederick, 84 of Bible Grove, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday (May 15, 1985) in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Frederick was born in Windsor, Ill., Aug. 18, 1900, a daughter of George W. and Carrie Ann Linebaugh Smith. She married E. D. Frederick Dec. 25, 1916, in Windsor. He died Oct. 13, 1976. Early in their marriage, the Fredericks moved to Allerton, Iowa, where they lived one year before moving to the Bible Grove area where they farmed. Surviving are six sons, Roscoe, Dean, John Victor and George, all of Bible Grove, and Kent of Gorin, four daughters, Mrs. Everett (Helen) Dickerson of Elgin, Ill., Mrs. Delbert (Betty) Wright of Lovington, Ill., Mrs. Wayne (Ruby) Wright of Memphis, Mo., and Mrs. Buck (Hazel) Unglebee of Burlington, Iowa, two sisters, Ruby Hamilton of Mattoon, Ill., and Martha Paule of Kissimee, Fla.; 38 grandchildren, and 60 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, a son, Henry, a daughter, Sarah Jane, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church at Bible Grove by the Rev. Bob Scofield. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Scotland County Memorial Hospital. The Payne-Gerth Funeral Home at Memphis is handling arrangements.
