Bio
Loren A. Simpson age 95 of New Castle went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 20, 2010 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 3, 1914 in Jamestown, KY., the son of the late William P. and Janie M. George Simpson. He was in the U.S Army during WWII, stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and served in Italy. He worked at Chrysler Corporation for 29 years where he retired. Also a homebuilder and loved carpentry work. He and his wife Marie would have celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary this Friday January 22, 2010. Survivors include his wife Marie G. Lee Simpson, 5 daughters: Anna M. Davis of New Castle, Wilma G. Everman of New Castle, Thelma J. (Bob) Chesher of New Castle, Janice L. (Gerald) Hammond of New Castle, Esther M. (Jim) Mason of New Castle, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Also great grandson Jason W. Chesher and great great grandson Jayden Golliher. Services will be Friday January 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Denny Neal officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM Friday prior to service at the church. Marcum Community Funeral Home is handling the arrangements
