When Jack was 4 years old his mother died after giving birth to twins, named Ivan and Iva, he had another older sister Cecile. The children were adopted by different families. The twins to Aretus Waters & his wife Mary, Cecile went where? and Jack was adopted by Will and Nettie Tetschner. To see their page go to memorial#67270185 for Will & 67280926 for Nettie. On 31 Jan. 1922 he married his childhood sweetheart, Nora Abbott. Together they raised three sons and a daughter; Emery, Dorothy, Carrol & Gerald. As a young man it was said he had quite a temper. By the time his grandchildren came along he had mellowed and was always very patient with them. They would often follow him around the farm, trying to help with chores and learning lessons. Sometimes in the evenings he would lie down on the living room floor with them and make up stories about the farm animals, using the names of each grandchild for a different animal, to make them laugh. Cause of death was a heart attack.
