Bio

Carvel was the son of Abner Carroll and Nancy T. Gilmore of Anderson Co., TX. He enlisted on 2 June 1942 in Houston, TX and served in the 9th Photo Detachment, U.S. Army Air Corp in the Pacific Campaign of WW2. He was a very gentle man and enjoyed watching baseball on TV. His war injuries restricted his physical abilities until his death. Often he would transport automobiles for his brother John C. Carroll. Military Information: SSgt, US Army Air Forces
