The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, December 25, 2003; pg. 11 Albert Andrew Wyatt, the son of Albert E. and Lucy (Harkens) Wyatt, was born on November 17, 1915 on his parent's farm near Webber, Kansas. He passed away on December 19, 2003 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 2 days. Albert was one of 12 children. He was baptized by Cyrus Latan in the Webber Church as an infant. Albert attended country school in Jewell County, Kansas. On May 5, 1934 he was united in marriage to Frances Burge in Belleville, Kansas. This union was blessed with two children. Albert lived ten and 1/2 years in Missouri, twenty years in Minnesota and the rest of this life was spent in the Webber area. He loved to garden, fish, hunt and woodworking. He dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Toby on January 29, 2002, and an infant daughter, and one grandson, Toby Lee Wyatt, seven brothers, John, Hewlie, Cyrus, Edwin, Wayne and two of which were infants, sisters, Margaret Edwards and Birdie Blair. Survivors include his wife, Frances of Webber, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Jackie Wyatt of Superior, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Peggy Jones and husband Craig of Beatrice, Nebraska, Alan and wife Jennifer of Superior, Nebraska, Loren and wife Larinda of Dolores, Colorado; and Valli Wyatt and Frank Duffy of Guide Rock, Nebraska; six great-grandchildren, Toby and Aaron Jones, Damian Duffy, Cody and Amber Wyatt and Reyetta Hubbs, and two sisters, Carrie Rothchild of Mankato, Kansas; and June Hinkson of Des Moines, Washington, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 10:30 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Music was "Little Brown Church" and "Great Speckled Bird", with Carol Shambaugh as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist. Pallbearers were Toby Jones, Aaron Jones, Damian Duffy, Cody Wyatt, Doyle Rothchild, and Dennis Rothchild. Honorary Pallbearers were Amber Wyatt and Reyetta Hubbs. Interment was in the Webber Cemetery at Webber, Kansas. Memorials may be given in care of the family. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
