Bio

Harold Sunderhuse was born in Welcome, Texas on September 16, 1921. He was the eldest son of 10 children, raised as a farmer on a working farm. He joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Colorado and California. He married Jeanne Mahana on June 7, 1946. They had three children, David, Shelley and Mark. He owned and operated a small business and was an active sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoyed Colorados back country. He greatly loved and is survived by his wife Jeanne; his daughter Shelley; and his son Mark. He also has four dearly loved grandchildren, Stephanie, Mitchell, Zachary and Nathaniel. Services will be graveside at Golden Cemetery, at 11am, on Thursday, December 5, 2002. He walked and talked with God, and now he is in his presence. Contributions can be made to the National Audubon Society. Published in Denver Post on Dec. 5, 2002
