Daughter of Wenzl "Vaclav" & Mary Brichna Mach. Married Feb. 28, 1923 to Charles Krikava in Pawnee City, NE. Known Siblings: Frank M., Gustav, Joseph, James, Chester, Anna, Rosie and Jessie. ELIZABETH KRIKAVA Elizabeth Mach, daughter of James and Mary Mach, was born on the family farm northwest of DuBois, Nebraska, April 27, 1899, the youngest of nine children. She suffered a severe stoke on May 3 and passed away at the Pawnee Hospital May 11, 1976, having reached the age of 77 years and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Krikava on Feb. 28, 1923. They moved to a farm northwest of Burchard. To this union one son, Ernest was born. In 1936 they moved south of Pawnee on the Kansas line. In 1962 they purchased another farm south of Pawnee where she resided at the time of her death. Her husband, Charles passed away Aug. 29, 1965. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her happy disposition won her many friends. Next to her family and friends, flowers and the Czech culture were some of her main enjoyments. Interment was in the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
