FRANK M. MACH Frank M. Mach was born Dec. 12, 1880 in Kossich, Czechoslovakia, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mach. He came to this country with his parents in 1890, and the family lived in the vicinity of Humboldt. Later they moved to a farm west of DuBois. He was married to Lucy Zaoransky of Winner, S. Dak., and began farming north-west of DuBois. Later, they moved to the vicinity of Pawnee City about 1943. He was active in the ZCBJ Lodge. In 1950 he joined the Presbyterian Church in Pawnee City. He was preceded in death by his son, George, a brother, Gustav, one sister, and his wife, who passed away in March, 1946. Frank departed this life Oct. 1, 1965, in Pawnee City. He is survived by three sons: Stanley, Arthur, and Joseph of Lincoln; brothers, Joseph, James and Chester, and sisters, Anna Vrtiska, Lizzie Krikava, and Rosie Thiemann of Pawnee City, and Jessie Mach of Prague. Funeral service was conducted Oct. 3, at the United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Warren Kunkel officiating. Burial was in the DuBois cemetery.
