''''''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), August 26, 1937, p. 4, col. 5 DIED AT PRAGUE HOSPITAL Mrs. Frances Patocka Passed Away On Monday, Aug. 16. Loma, Aug. 21 – Mrs. Frances Patocka, a sufferer from diabetes, passed away at 3:45 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16, at the Prague hospital, after an illness of two days. She was in her 64th year. Funeral services were held at St. Luke's Catholic church, Loma, at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 18, conducted by Rev. Father Ekhamel. Music was by the church choir, with Mrs. Rudolph Barta organist. The pallbearers were Adolph and Ignac Patocka, Joe and Frank Rejda, John Rejda and Joseph Policky. Burial was in the Loma Catholic cemetery. Frances Rejda was Mrs. Patocka's maiden name. She was born at Vomica, Europe, March 9, 1874, a daughter of Frank and Frances Rejda. She was married to Nick Patocka at Brainard June 28, 1896, and they had since resided on their farm. To them were born eight children, of whom two have passed on. The surviving children are five sons, Joe, Rudolf, Frank, Nick and John, and one daughter, Helen, now Mrs. John Kriz. Seven grandchildren, one sister and two brothers also survive. Mrs. Patocka was a member of St. Luke's Catholic church, the Rosary Sodality and the Catholic Workmen lodge and had many friends. __ We wish to thank our relatives and neighbors, also Father Ekhamel, from the kindness shown us during the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother.
