''''''''''' Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), February 3, 1921, p. 1, col. 5 Mrs. Frances Rejda On Friday afternoon, after an illness of about five weeks, occurred the death of Mrs. Frances Rejda, aged 83 years. The cause of her death was senility. The burial services were held Monday afternoon, in the Holy Trinity Catholic church. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery at Brainard. Mrs. Rejda was born in Vomice, Czecho-Slovakia in 1837. Her maiden name was Frances Horacek. She was the eldest of her brothers and sisters and out-lived them all, including her husband, and one of her daughters. Two of her brothers, John and Frank Horacek lived in America. She was united in marriage to Frank Rejda in 1859, to this union were born seven children six of whom are living: Frank, Rudolf and John Rejda, living near Brainard, Mrs. John Osmera deceased, Mrs. Ignac Patocka, living near Loma, Mrs. Frank Patocka, living near Brainard and Mrs. Vincent Svoboda living in North Dakota. They came to America in 1884, and resided on a farm near Brainard. Her husband died about 17 years ago. Preceding her death Mrs. Rejda was living with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Patocka. Mrs. Rejda was a devoted Catholic church member and belonged to the Holy Rosary sodality, members of which accompanied her body to it's final resting place. Her grandsons, Rudolf, Joe and Adolf Patocka, Joe and John Rejda and Joe Osmera, acted as pall bearers.
