Bio

John J. Dlabaj, age 98 of Ennis, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 26, 2008. He was born on December 21, 1909, in Crisp, Texas to Theodore and Josephine (Knize) Dlabaj. John married Mil Patril on November 27, 1934 in Ennis. He owned and operated John and John Garage from 1946 until his retirement in 1987. John then continued small engine repair until the day before he died. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, KJT, and a 75 year member of Catholic Forester. He is survived by his children: Irene Prachyl and her husband, Jerry of Ennis; Nancy Neuenschwander of the Woodlands, Leonard Dlabaj and his wife Dolores of Ennis; eight grandchildren, Terilynn Crow, Brian Prachyl, Roger Prachyl, Cheryl Blumberg, Kendall Ganong, Jeff Neuenschwander, Jaime Holland, and Kelly Dlabaj; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Dlabaj of Ennis, two sisters, Agnes Horak of Ennis and Janie Nemec of Canyon, TX; devoted friend, Jeaneta Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mil on February 20, 1999. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at St. John Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery
