Bio

He was raised on a farm northwest of Columbus. Clarence confirmed his faith in God in 1939 at Trinity Lutheran Church. On April 4, 1945, Clarence entered the United States Army during WWII. He served in Germany and obtained the rank of Tech Sgt., and was honorably discharged on November 15, 1946. Following the service, Clarence moved to the Oconee area where he farmed and raised cattle. He was united in marriage to Doris Buss on January 28, 1972, at the Bethany Baptist Church in Lincoln, Kansas. Clarence then reaffirmed his faith when he joined the Shell Creek Baptist Church. He served God faithfully, donating many hours of service to the church, serving as a deacon, trustee and a member of the Gideon's. Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with iron, and spending time with family - especially his nephews.
